The Greatest Parents Any Girl Could Have.

I want to tell you all about my parents. When I was six months old, my father was infected with a bacteria that attacked his heart. He was a doctor and was infected by a patient. He very nearly didn't survive. I obviously don't remember this scary time, but have heard about it from my siblings my whole life. I do remember however growing up with him in and out of the hospital. I also remember my mother's hard work to raise her five children. When my father fell ill she had to return to school to provide for us. I still can't understand how one woman was able to juggle school, work, a sick husband, and five children. Throughout all of these struggles, they both had our best interests in mind, and dealt with each difficulty without complaint. I couldn't have asked for better examples. My father, although a physically weak man throughout the remainder of his life, was the smartest, most spirtually strong man I have ever known. My father studied and improved his mind until the day he passed away, when I was nearly 20 years old. I am so impressed that with every excuse to sit back and feel sorry for himself, he never did. If I ever needed help with homework or any project I had a built in tutor who just happened to be a medical doctor! My mother, became an English teacher and worked so hard for us kids. I remember her being exhausted from working so hard, but still cooking dinner for our family every night. Both of my parents were spiritual giants. They set such a good example for me by going to church every week, and magnifying every calling they were ever given. My mother, who was always busy made time every Saturday to go to the temple. I could go on and on about how wonderful it was to have such splendid parents but I have to sign off for now.

My mommy and me on my wedding day. I will be posting a pic of my dad as soon as possible.
