Baby Hungry

Well this is a new experience for me because for so long I was convinced I would never be such. For the last few months, almost a year, I have been increasingly baby hungry. So far no luck, but keep your fingers crossed for me!! Having 15 neices and nephews on my side, and 2 on Jared's doesn't help. I love being around them and playing with them. Also, about half the women I work with have been pregnant within the last year or are pregnant currently!! That's a lot of babies!

Japan Part 2!!!!

Well we went to Japan again this October. It is becoming a bit of a tradition, and I can't say I am disappointed. First off, I am excited to say that I got business class both ways, YIPEE!!! Unfortunately, both ways Jared got put in coach. Now, before you get all crazy like, telling me what a jerk I am for not trading him, he refused to trade, and ended up with three seats to himself both ways. So don't feel too sorry for him. When we arrived in Okinawa after about 30 hours of traveling, Jared's brother picked us up and took us to their new apartment, which, by the way, is pretty incredible. We were so exhausted, we chatted for a bit and caught up, but then went to bed and slept great. By the next morning I was feeling alright, and awoke to greet our niece Molly. Whose 1st birthday was in 2 days!!!
Isn't she adorable?! We then had a lot to do for and I quote "The biggest birthday party the island has ever seen!" That was the title given to Molly's 1st birthday party by my sister in law Michelle. We had to clean, decorate, and Todd or James as he's known by his friends (Jared's brother) baked a couple hundred cupcakes, about 5 pans of cornbread, and made five or so pots of chili!!! Then we had to decorate the cupcakes, it was lots of fun but by then I was exhausted and jet lagged so I went to bed. The next day was the bash.
Molly was a ballerina, Todd a martial arts expert, and Michelle was a gypsy. I went as an Indian and Jared wore a hat for a little while. Ha ha. After the party, we could relax and start seeing the sights. We went to an old movie town and saw some amazing glass blowers, and some really cool traditional buildings, and learned about local crafts etc.
I had a lot of fun, this next picture is of me doing my best Bruce Lee impression, at the martial arts work out area.
Another day we went to a botanical garden, it was really beautiful. There were flowers, plants, butterflies, and a koi pond you would not believe.

There were hundreds of fish all trying to eat the same piece of food. Both me and Molly had a great time feeding them. Jared caught this one picture of a white koi that I just love, here it is.
We went to the Okinawa Aquarium one day and I can't even put into words how big and amazing this place was. So I will let the pictures show you.

They have this massive tank with three whale sharks and a bunch of manta rays that were the size of four full size men!

This is me getting eaten by a Megalodon jaw!! We had so much fun, I could probably go on all day. However, I don't have time right now. So look for an update soon...

Girls Camp

Calli, Nancy, Danielle, Rachael, Ashley, Kyrene, Gabrielle , and JoVonna.

I just got back from girls camp, and had the best time!! I went as an adult leader, but ended up probably acting more like one of the girls. These girls are some of the best there are. We canoed, hiked, fished, and just had a great time. The first day, we got our camp set up and I took the girls down to the lake. They got to go canoeing and on the zip line. I went fishing for a while but only caught moss. :( It was so sad!!! Oh, well.

There were tons of these little pot guts!! They were so cute and love Goldfish crackers.

Later in the week, Jared came up and helped teach the girls all kinds of useful information about camping and survival. Things like, knot tying, orienteering, wildlife, and emergency shelters. We took a couple of night hikes and got really lucky when we saw a few deer bedded down. One day I was working on cleaning up one of the tents from a rain storm, when a moose walked through our camp, only about 5-10 feet from me!!! It was amazing, if a bit scary!!

Needless to say camp was incredible!

Trisha

Well I was at work today and saw my friend Trisha. She told me that she hadn't seen a blog update in a while and that I had 10 minutes till she checked again, and there better be something new. So here it is, Trisha is such a great person, I really think a lot of her. Her blog is so cute and updated regularly!! If only I was as great as Trisha!!!

Fishing

I love to fish. I didn't ever go until I met Jared. He took me for the first time on my 21st birthday!!! I had a ball but didn't catch anything. I was so sad, so Jared took me to the fish hatchery. We had to sneak in and were able to "catch" fish with our bare hands in the troughs they hold them in in the hatchery, not exactly legal, but hey, it was my birthday and I wanted to catch a fish!!! Since then, we have gone fishing many, many times. In fact the picture above is of me with the fish I caught the day after we got engaged!! There is a place in Wayne County, Utah where we like to go called, UM river. My husband wont let me be more specific in case any of you want to try to invade our fishing grounds. We also like to go to Fish Lake nearby. Last summer my sister's family wanted to learn to fish, so we took a trip down to Fish Lake. We had the best time!! This is Katie, my niece, with the fish she caught, not too shabby eh?
My sister, Heather and her family.

We also took my other sister, Mary and her family later that summer, it was so fun!! But, Mary's trip got rained on and we had to wait out a flash flood in Capitol Reef National Park! Thbis is Mary with her boys!! They are so cute, everytime I go to see them, they ask when we are going fishing again!

Well, signing off, Happy Fishing!

Sar-i

I have some really great friends, but one friend in particular seems to always make my day. Her name is Sarah, I call her Sar-i. About 6 years ago I was daing this guy named Paul. He had some amazing friends who took me in and made me feel like I was part of the group. One of those friends was Sar-i, who at first didn't even like me!!! But I guess I grew on her! Even after Paul and I broke up and I got together with my now husband Jared they still remained my friends. Sarah and I became really close. She made me feel comfortable, and worthwhile. I have never met anyone who is more loving and thoughtful, than she is. She was my maid of honor at my wedding, and will be my friend forever. 2 years ago, my husband Jared, was in a horrible car accident in Phoenix, which is hundreds of miles away from my home in Salt Lake City. I had to fly down and be with him, and stay for about 2 months while he was in the hospital. While we were away, Sarah took care of our Dora, and our house. She packed up a bunch of stuff for me, since when I left I had two shirts and a pair of pants with me. The most important thing she did was be there for me. She gave me the support I needed and a shoulder to cry on. I needed her more than I can ever say, and she was there for me. Sarah has the ability to make everyone around her feel good about them self. She can talk to anyone, and will go out of her way to make you happy. Sar-i is one of those people that you are so protective of who she dates because she deserves the absolute best. I wont let anyone less than that take her away from me.

Cruising

This past march, Jared and I wanted to do something special to celebrate our anniversary. We decided to go on a cruise. We left out of Houston for a seven night cruise on the Norwegian Dream. When we first saw our ship, I couldn't believe how big and beautiful it was.

I was a little tiny bit nervous, because I had never been on a ship even close to that size! We boarded and found our room. When we walked in it took me a minute to realize that, although we had only paid for an inside cabin, we had been assigned an outside cabin, with a big window!! How lucky are we?! After unpacking, we wandered around the ship for a while and got some lunch.
I could not believe how much food there was. One day when I walked back into the room after having been out and about, there was a surprise for me, a bunny made of towels. Isn't it cute?
The first day we were at sea, and Jared got seasick!! I sat by the pool and read a book and got tan. The next day we were in port, in Progresso Mexico, where we went to see the ruins at Chichen Itza.
It was incredible. It was also amusing because everywhere you looked there was someone selling something, and man were they intent!! The following day we were going to be doing a couple of boat dives in Cozumel. I was super excited. Then, we awoke, and the wind was blowing like crazy. So unfortunately our dive was cancelled. Since we couldn't dive, we wandered around Cozumel for the day. To cheer me up, (and because it was our anniversary weekend) Jared bought me a beautiful Tanzanite ring and bracelet. It's absolutely incredible. The following day we were in Belize, and we went snorkleing and swam with sting rays!!! There were so many of them. We even got to feed them!! They are very slimey feeling.
The last few days were at sea, so I was able to read, relax, and get tan.The final night we had a chocoholics buffet. There was chocolate sculptures, ice sculptures etc. Beautiful.
I would suggest that anyone who gets the chance to GO CRUISING!!!

Visiting Japan!

My honey and I went to Japan in October of 2006, his brother lives there and we wanted to visit. When we arrived in Tokyo, to connect to Okinawa, we saw our aircraft, a Boeing 747 painted with Pokemon characters. I laughed so hard, and knew right then and there that I would have a great trip. Which we did. When we finally arrived in Okinawa, after about 30 hours of taveling, I was so exhausted I could barely sit up straight!!! I slept for hours, and woke up early the next morning to one of the most beautiful sites I had ever seen, the beach view from my brother in law's house. Isn't it incredible? We spent the first few days helping out, because 2 days after we arrived our first neice on Jared's side of the familly was born!! What perfect timing!! She is a beautiful little girl. While we were at the apartment one day, Jared came upon a little abandoned puppy, who I named Mia, because she was missing in action!!! This is our little Mia!
It was really sad when we had to say goodbye to her. A few days later we got an opportunity to go SCUBA diving on the Keramas. (an island chain south of Okinawa) We went on two boat dives. I saw a sea snake, a bunch of awsome fish, and best of all, a sea-turtle!!!

We also went on a WWII tour of the island, it was really interesting but also sad. The poor Okinawan people suffered greatly under the Imperial Japanese rule. We got to go in the underground tunnel system used by the Japanese Navy. We also saw these incredible caves that the citizens hid in!

I don't think I have ever had such an incredible trip. I recommend that everyone should go there. The people are so helpful, and kind, I never felt uncomfortable at all!! I hope to go back soon.

More About Me

I am happily married, and I have a weiner-dog named Dora, a siemese cat named Kitty, four chickens, and two geese.

Jared and I like to see how long we can make our Dora be. She is so funny, we really love our critters.

Around the World with ME!!

I love to travel, in fact the only reasons I have my job are to travel and hang out with really awesome people! In fact, I had only once been on a plane before I got my job. I have now flown over a million miles!! ( It helps that for a year and a half I was a flight attendant) my favorite trips include, Okinanwa, Japan, Belize, Cozumel, Mexico, and San Francisco.
